Sport Fans Attacked By Unicorns

April 28th, 2009  |  Filed under: Daily Post, Jack's Crazy News, WTF

Someone prankster hacked the ESPN website and made Unicorns appear when visitors pressed the Konami Code:

As a couple of unicorn-loving tipsters with a thirst for sporting news have informed us, inputting the infamous Konami cheat code (up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A, enter) will infest the official ESPN web site with mystical ponies. And they’ll keep spawning if you keep clicking. Source

EPSN has since fixed the problem but don’t let that stop you from “cornifying” anything you want.  This site lets you use the same effect on photos and websites but you probably already knew that – you big rainbow unicorn lover.

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – Emmy Award-winning actress Bea Arthur, best known as star of the hit TV comedies “Maude” and “Golden Girls,” has died at age 86, entertainment news websites reported on Saturday.

Arthur, a longtime stage actress whose comic timing and deadpan delivery were a perfect fit for her sharp-tongued roles on the two series, died of cancer at her Los Angeles home, celebrity website TMZ reported.

Representatives for the actress, who won best-actress Emmys — America’s top television award — for “Maude” and “Golden Girls,” could not immediately be reached for comment.

“Thirty-seven years ago she showed me how to be very brave in playing comedy,” one of Arthur’s co-stars, Rue McClanahan, told TMZ in a statement. “I’ll miss that courage and I’ll miss that voice.” She will be missed by all!

10 Billboard Milestones

April 26th, 2009  |  Filed under: Daily Post, Jack's Music Beat

darksidepinkfloyd1. Most weeks on the chart: Pink Floyd’s The Dark Side of the Moon, 741 weeks. 741 WEEKS. That’s more than 14 years! Color me impressed, Heather. No other artist or album has even come close to that achievement – the closest was Johnny Mathis’ Johnny’s Greatest Hits, which spent 490 weeks (almost 9.5 years) on the charts.

2. The most top-ten albums: The Rolling Stones with 36 albums, followed by Frank Sinatra at 32 and The Beatles at 31.

3. The most number-one albums: The Beatles with 19, followed by Elvis and Jay-Z with 10 each. Tied for third are The Rolling Stones and Bruce Springsteen with nine each. Fourth place is another tie: Barbra Streisand and Garth Brooks both have eight.

Graveyard Web Cam

April 26th, 2009  |  Filed under: Daily Post, Jack's Crazy News, WTF

Graveyardfromsxc

A town in Italy will soon be offering web cam services which will allow users to view their dead loved one’s tomb as well as check on the graveyard, you know – in case it turns out the dead left and a zombie outbreak is in full effect. It’s the only rational explanation i could come up with.

“We’ve decided to sell 150 tombs and, what’s more, give them the long-distance technology needed for distant relatives to commune with their dear departed,” the mayor said.

”A Web cam will be operational ’round the clock and there’ll also be a new sound system to give them a feel of the meditative atmosphere.” Source

Meditative?? More like creepy! Oh well… on the bright side, maybe they will catch some paranormal activity. OR stop the zombie outbreak! ahh! to the zombie mobile!
