An American Airlines pilot was arrested Wednesday at London’s Heathrow Airport after he showed up drunk for his Chicago-bound flight, the airline said today.

Airport staff working at a security control post called police, who administered a breathalyzer test, which the male pilot failed, American said.

The Chicago Blackhawks have talked during the first two games of the Western Conference Finals against Detroit about not wanting to get sucked into the Red Wings’ style.

Now, they hope to imitate the Wings by doing to them what Detroit just did to the Hawks — win two straight games at home.

The gates at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee are expected to remain open for another season even if its corporate owner files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.

Despite the financial troubles, the park just east of the Tri-State Tollway and Grand Avenue is set to open April 3. Great America spokeswoman Brooke Gabbert said Friday bankruptcy would have no bearing on the park’s daily operations. Full Story

Ancient peoples of southern North America went to “dentists”—among the earliest known—to beautify their chompers with notches, grooves, and semiprecious gems, according to a recent analysis of thousands of teeth examined from collections in Mexico’s National Institute of Anthropology and History (such as the skull above, found in Chiapas, Mexico).  Source
