You Too Can Have Bob Saget’s Child!!

Or at least a kid that looks like him.

A Los Angeles sperm bank has begun associating photos of celebrities who resemble their anonymous donors to give baby-shoppers an idea of what their child might look like. We assume it’s also bringing some serious “crazies” out of the wood work for a chance to give birth to some mini-celebrities.

For those wondering what celebs could be mixing with your own DNA, the bank is sporting an all star lineup of donors who resemble Aaron Eckhart,  Jake Gyllenhaal, Stephen Colbert, Tiger Woods, Tom Brokaw, Adam Corolla, and a “young” Russell Crowe.

Why anyone would want a child who looks like Adam Carolla is beyond me, but hey, whatever floats your boat.

You can peruse their selection here. We already picked ours… Tom Wilson AKA Biff Tannen from Back to the Future.  “McFly, why don’t you make like a tree and get outta here!”

Man, that would be awesome.

RIP John Hughes

John Hughes Pictures, Images and Photos

Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. Uncle Buck. Planes, Trains, and Automobiles. Sixteen Candles. The Breakfast Club. Wierd Science.

It’s hard to imagine one man was responsible for so many classics in your home DVD collection. John Hughes was a pillar of pop culture in the 80’s film community not only as a director of the fine films above, but also as the writer behind several other ‘classics’ including the Home Alone series and the epic adventures of Clark Griswold and family. We are forever in debt.

Hughes also used Chicago as the centerpiece of his films and helped give the city a different association than the usual ’20s gangster-land. His films launched the careers of several JACK bands including New Order and Simple Minds’ “Don’t You Forget About Me”.

He passed away at the age of 59 from a heart attack yesterday in New York visiting friends.

In honor of the legend, here are some of our favorite clips:

Stand up Comedy Pictures, Images and Photos

While the country is hitting some of the hardest times in recent history, some Americans are still finding humor in their lives.  Comedy clubs from New York to Los Angeles are seeing a rise in amateurs taking their shot at standup. Maybe it’s the release of the comedian-comedy movie Funny People or perhaps Americans need something to laugh about these days. Or maybe too many people just have a lot of time on their hands.

Whatever the reason – at least people are trying to make the best of a bad situation.
