Director Robert Zemeckis and Disney currently are in discussions to create a digital 3-D adaptation of the 1968 Beatles-themed animated flick Yellow Submarine. Disney is attempting to procure the rights to 16 Fab Four tunes for the flick, with a Summer 2012 premiere being eyed. In addition, a Broadway musical may follow the movie’s release.
