That is the amount that won an online auction for a coveted grave site above international sex symbol Marilyn Monroe’s casket at the Westwood Village Memorial Park Cemetary in Los Angeles. The bidding began at $500,000 and includes the stipulation that the ‘occupant’ can be buried “looking face down” at Miss Monroe.
So congrats on winning that one… we all think less of you now.
Rock superstars Pearl Jam just finished a two night sold-out stand at the United Center. Those lucky enough to score a ticket were most likely treated to the band’s next big hit “The Fixer” off their new album Backspacer.
The video has hit the internet and is already creating major buzz in the music blogosphere. Directed by Hollywood heavyweight Cameron Crowe (Almost Famous) the footage is from a secret show the band put on back in May at the Seattle’s historic Showbox Theater.
