We always love finding these ‘flash-mob’ dance sequences on YouTube, when a seemingly ordinary street or mall is suddenly turned into a synchronized dance club. Here’s one we found from a couple days in Seattle’s famous Pioneer Square.

The international community has let Madonna get away with a lot. Whether it be parading around stage in skin-tight leather at 51, naming her child Rocco, or managing to piss off the Vatican, Israel, and Puerto Rico on three seperate occassions. But last week, Madonna apparently lost an entire crowd in Romania when she started fighting for her new cause: eastern European Gypsies.

Madonna’s in-between-song banter at a concert in Bucharest was meant to draw attention to the plight of Romanian Gypsies. Instead it drew a heavy onslaught of boo’s from the crowd. All of which apparently hate Gypsies and their vagabond lifestyle.

While we won’t comment on our personal feelings towards Gypsies, the boo’s seem rather harsh. How can you buy tickets to a Madonna concert and NOT expect to have some over-the-top political psycho babble between “Like a Virgin” and “Material Girl”.  That’s like Bono doing an interview without mentioning eight charities he’s currently supporting or Angelina Jolie visiting a 3rd World country and not adopting a child. It is bound to happen.

This morning, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) released their last critiques and praises of the four finalists to host the 2016 Olympic Games. Apart from the obvious cost issues and transportation stuff, the city’s nickname is apparently a factor.

IOC officials cited wind as an issue in interfering with certain events including: “archery, rowing, canoe, kayaking, tennis and open swimming.”

Of course, the nickname of “The Windy City” doesn’t stem from Chicago’s weather conditions but rather the wind-bag politics used to fight for the privledge of hosting the 1893 World’s Fair.

A quick search on Google shows that average wind temps in Tokyo, Madrid, and Rio are either higher or equal to that of Chicago. Maybe the IOC doesn’t know about this magical “Google” tool.

(AP) Oprah Winfrey is bringing her show to the streets of downtown Chicago next week.

A Harpo Productions spokeswoman said Tuesday that Winfrey is celebrating the kickoff of the 24th season of “The Oprah Winfrey Show” by taping the show on a stretch of Chicago’s Michigan Avenue.

Part of the street, which is known as the Magnificent Mile, will be shut down from early Monday until early Wednesday, Sept. 9. The taping is on Tuesday and will feature a performance by the Black Eyed Peas. Admission is free and open to the public.

The show will air late next week.

“She Loves You” has been revealed as the best-selling Beatles single of all-time in the U.K. Official Chart Company, which compiles the weekly list of the top 40 songs in England, said Monday that it has compiled a top-10 list of the Beatles‘ best-selling singles after a search of its records. “She Loves You,” released in 1963, was the band’s second No. 1 hit after “From Me To You,” which was released the same year.
