Pearl Jam’s newest album Backspacer hit record shelves nationwide this week and so far the press is pretty favorable to what the old rockers have come up with. They might be aged in the years and Eddie Vedder may have a striking resemblance to our Uncle Carl, but the band has even shown they know how to utilize new technology.
Using Twitter, the band has placed limited edition Orange Vinyl copies of the album at select record stores. Every day this week, they’ve posted a link to a picture of the rare Orange Vinyl at an undisclosed record store. You have to do some detective work (aka Google) to figure out where it’s at. First one there get’s it. Fun, right?
Nothing in Chicago yet. We’ll race you there once they post one in the city. Play their game @PearlJam

Last night, President Obama paid a visit to The Late Show with David Letterman. The event marked a historic landmark as it was the first time a sitting president has appeared on a late night talk show. Dave did a great job with the interview and Obama had quite a few hilarious moments to break up the political banter. You can watch the entire interview at CBS.com.
Lou Gramm of Foreigner performed one of his biggest hits, “Double Vision”( (1978) #3 US, #32 UK), at Jack After Dark at Joe’s Bar on Weed St. in Chicago.
