Gay marriage is so controversial because it’s both a religious and legal issue. Gays want legal rights, but many religions consider it a sin. Personally, I do not agree with homosexuality (note that I did NOT say I have anything against homosexuals- I have several friends and relatives who are gay and we can agree to disagree), but I believe people are allow to live their life as they see fit, and it should be left up to the states to decide if they want to legalize gay marriages. Just my opinion. Please don’t crucify me for it. : )
