Billboard.com has a cool thing on their website that takes different milestones to construct a custom playlist to serve as your life’s soundtrack. The “Soundtrack of My Life” Creator matches #1 Hits up with things such as your birthday, first kiss, getting your driver’s license, and graduating from High School. It even has a “create your own” option if there’s a particular moment you think deserves a track.

The songs that pop up might not be your favorites, but you will certainly recognize them. Share your personal soundtrack’s with JACK in the comments section below!

Rest assured, Jack FM will not be giving away tickets to this one…

[CBS News] Jack FM’s favorite one-armed drummer is doing more than just rocking our faces off. Def Leppard’s Rick Allen talked at length during an interview on CBS’ Early Show about using his personal story of triumph over tragedy to help inspire wounded vets returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.

Rick Allen’s story of overcoming the loss of his left arm in a car accident and continuing to drum in one of the biggest rock bands of the 1980s has long been considered one of the most awe-inspiring tales in the world of music.

Allen’s organization, Raven Drum, helps troops who have sufferred life-altering traumas to celebrate their uniqueness and find a light during some of the darkest moments of their lives.

Def Leppard was set to begin the third leg of their North American tour last week, but had to cancel due to “unforseen circumstances”. While it sucks that we won’t see them on stage, you can still see their touring partners, Cheap Trick, live and in charge at Jack’s Cheap Christmas on December 10th at Allstate Arena.

Late Late Show Blackout

October 28th, 2009  |  Filed under: Jack's Entertainment News

During last night’s taping of the Late Late Show, 70 mph winds in California knocked out the lights leaving host Craig Ferguson in the dark mid-interview with actress Alicia Silverstone. Instead of stopping the tape, they handed the comedian a flashlight so he could continue on with the show.

Craig Ferguson, who is notorious for using puppets and extreme close-ups during his show, adapted quickly and managed to turn the technical difficulty into late night gold.

The high winds also managed to knock out power around the greater Los Angeles area. You can watch the entire episode at CBS.com.
