America’s favorite punk-band-grown-up won their 4th career Grammy last night for Best Rock Album and treated fans to a unique performance of their hit single “21 Guns”. The band won huge in 2005 with their album American Idiot, which apparently is now a Broadway Musical???

The band was joined on stage last night by the cast of the American Idiot musical which is set to open on April 10th at the St. James Theatre in New York City. The plot of the musical follows a group of bored teens who leave Suburbia to find “the real world” in the city. It discusses teen pregnancy, drugs, rehab, TV saturation, not accomplishing anything in your life, and other inspiring themes perfect for America’s youth!

Jack FM would never say anything bad about a band we love so dear, but something about Green Day’s American Idiot getting sung by an American Idol-esque crowd makes them extremely “less rock” in our eyes.
