We found this gem online of Red Hot Chili Peppers doing a rocking cover of Jimi Hendrix’s “Foxy Lady”. The music is rocking but what blew our minds completely was at about :25 in you realize Flea is thrashing upside down.

Now that is rock.

Pink Floyd Wins Court Battle Over Online Sales

March 12th, 2010  |  Filed under: Daily Post

Record giant EMI is in deep right now with classic rock gods Pink Floyd. The band, who has stood by their albums as complete artistic works, is lashing out against the online practice of selling “singles” on Amazon or iTunes. Everyone knows the best way to enjoy Darkside of the Moon is in it’s entirety… played to Wizard of Oz… which is the way the band always intended it.

The band has won a long battle against EMI for unpaid royalties and as part of the settlement, may have protected their music from being released as singles. EMI has pulled the ability to download Pink Floyd from the online stores for now.

Not sure what it spells for the rest of online sales, but it is looking more and more like a return to the “album only” days.

TSA Complains Airport Smells Like Feet

March 12th, 2010  |  Filed under: Daily Post

Apparently TSA hates the fact that we have to wait to take our shoes off at airport security as much as all of us passengers do. The security personnel at Palm Beach International Airport recently asked at a board meeting that the carpet in the security check-in area be replaced. The cause: stinky feet.

Security officers complain that the area smells horrid due to the stench of passenger bare-feet in the area. After careful consideration, it has shown that the carpet may be easier to be completely replaced than shampoo it.

Bacon Candle? Awesome.

Our friends at TheBachelorGuy.com turned us onto a hometown creation that we just had to share with you. Upscale downtown steakhouse David Burke’s Primehouse has entered into the ’scented candles’ business with a new line of Bacon Fat Candles.

David Burke’s, known for some of the best steaks in town, has a new table-top attraction made out of bacon fat. The lit candles dot all the tables in the restaurant and if the smell of fresh bacon wafting through the air isn’t enough – you can go ahead and pour the candle on your food when it comes out.

An edible bacon candle? Our minds were fully blown. I’d like to see that girly “Spring Breeze” or “Clean Linen” candle double as a dinner side-dish. Point: Bacon Candle. Or should we just call it a Bandle?
