‘TigerText’ self destructing text messages

March 16th, 2010  |  Filed under: Daily Post

Need privacy for racy or embarrassing texts? TigerText is what you need! No need to end up like that famous golfer, with TigerText your text messages will self destruct for you. This app for iPhones lets your messages self destruct as soon as 60 seconds after the message is received.

The name of the company apparently has nothing to do with the recent Tiger Woods scandal but that the publicity sure does help. For $1.49 a month Tiger could have saved himself a lot of trouble.

The TigerText website says, “TigerText is different because, even though it looks and feels identical to a normal text message, the content of your message is never sent to the recipient’s phone and you control when the message is deleted from our server so you control the lifespan of the message!”

TigerText is only offered to the iPhone and iPod Touch but will be available to Blackberry and Android phones soon.
