Pearl Jam and the Strokes’ Julian Casablancas both turned up for a rocking edition of Saturday Night Live over the weekend. Eddie Vedder and company delivered live performances of “Just Breathe” and “Unthought Known” from their 2009 album, Backspacer.
In addition to their musical performance, the “Jeremy” hitmakers stuck around to appear in a parody sketch of The Twilight Zone episode “Nightmare at 20,000 Feet.” Casablancas also lent his comedic skills to the show, joining Andy Samberg for a sketch in which the two blasted boom boxes in unlikely places.
Pearl Jam recently announced a new string of headlining tour dates in continued support of Backspacer. The run will kick off May 1 at Jazz Fest in New Orleans and finish up with back-to-back nights at New York’s Madison Square Garden on May 20 and 21. Get Tour Dates here.
