Although the 2010 Lollapalooza lineup will not be publicly announced until April, JACK FM has the inside scoop on who will be making an appearance! Rumor has it that Lady Gaga will be caught in a “Bad Romance, by the Paparazzi!” Soundgarden will be “reuniting ” for the event..and it feels soo good! Green Day will be “waking up right as September ends” just in time for Lollapalooza in August!! Stay tuned to find out the final lineup!

Fans of little plastic guitars rejoice.  Harmonix and MTV Games announced today that they will be releasing the album Axis: Bold As Love for use in their game Rock Band next week.   Along with the legendary album, they now have exclusive rights to the Jimi Hendrix catalog and say that we can expect more tracks from the Voodoo Child to help ignite guitar controllers across the world. 

This is announcement is surprising because their competitor, Guitar Hero, had already included a playable version of Jimi in a game and was rumored to be working on an all-Hendrix edition of the carpal tunnel creator. 

If your virtual band simply cannot wait to bring down the house, we here at Jack FM suggest you crank up Sister Christian by Night Ranger (available this week on Guitar Hero).  That should be enough to keep neighbors pissed until you can get your hands on some Spanish Castle Magic.

A Philadelphia court recently handed down a mixed decision on the sex-for-tickets scandal that brought a lot of attention to one desperate Phillies fan.  The story started when Susan Finklestein posted a suggestive Craigslist ad (a lewd add on Craigslist whodathunkit) offering her “feminine wiles” for tickets to see the Philadelphia Phillies play in the World Series.  While this still seems like a better deal than Ticketmaster, the police apparently frown on the exchange of sexual favors for money or goods. 

This “goofy post” as she described it,  took a very interesting turn when the Bucks County Police created a sting operation and responded to the add.  Susan allegedly promised to make good on the Craigslist posting and was later arrested for prostitution.  Today she was found not guilty of the prostitution charge, but was found guilty of attempted prostitution: which apparently is a real charge. 

We here at Jack expect Craigslist to shut down if the Cub’s ever make the World Series and while we at Jack FM cannot condone any illegal actions, we have .38 Special tickets and are accepting offers.

Due to doctor’s orders, REO SPEEDWAGON is regretfully forced to reschedule their shows tonight at the Genesee Theatre in Waukegan and tomorrow night at the Rialto Square Theatre in Joliet, as a result of a severe flu that REO guitarist Dave Amato is experiencing. The rescheduled dates are officially confirmed for Friday, May 21st at 8pm at the Rialto Square Theatre in Joliet, and Saturday, May 22nd at 8pm at the Genesee Theatre in Waukegan.  Tickets purchased for the shows this weekend will be honored for the rescheduled dates. If you cannot attend the rescheduled dates, tickets may also be refunded at the point of purchase.
