Fans of little plastic guitars rejoice.  Harmonix and MTV Games announced today that they will be releasing the album Axis: Bold As Love for use in their game Rock Band next week.   Along with the legendary album, they now have exclusive rights to the Jimi Hendrix catalog and say that we can expect more tracks from the Voodoo Child to help ignite guitar controllers across the world. 

This is announcement is surprising because their competitor, Guitar Hero, had already included a playable version of Jimi in a game and was rumored to be working on an all-Hendrix edition of the carpal tunnel creator. 

If your virtual band simply cannot wait to bring down the house, we here at Jack FM suggest you crank up Sister Christian by Night Ranger (available this week on Guitar Hero).  That should be enough to keep neighbors pissed until you can get your hands on some Spanish Castle Magic.
