Due to doctor’s orders, REO SPEEDWAGON is regretfully forced to reschedule their shows tonight at the Genesee Theatre in Waukegan and tomorrow night at the Rialto Square Theatre in Joliet, as a result of a severe flu that REO guitarist Dave Amato is experiencing. The rescheduled dates are officially confirmed for Friday, May 21st at 8pm at the Rialto Square Theatre in Joliet, and Saturday, May 22nd at 8pm at the Genesee Theatre in Waukegan.  Tickets purchased for the shows this weekend will be honored for the rescheduled dates. If you cannot attend the rescheduled dates, tickets may also be refunded at the point of purchase. South by Southwest is one of the largest gatherings of live music in the entire world. Taking place in Austin, TX, SXSW closes of the busy streets of downtown ATX and opens the doors to all its clubs to bands from across the world.

This year, Stone Temple Pilots rocked through a set of old and new songs at the famed Austin Music Hall, the first time for the band in nine years. The encore was topped off by The Doors guitarist Robbie Krieger for a rendition of “Roadhouse Blues”.

Stone Temple Pilots will be playing a SOLD OUT show at the Riviera Theatre in Chicago, IL on Saturday, March 27th.

Looks like JACK has found the newest sport for the 2012 Summer Olympics in London: a cross between skydiving, snowboarding/skateboarding, and IRONING? Someone is definitely getting free ironing, but no guarantee of your shirt being returned. Similar to the dry cleaners JACK uses.

“Sting in the Tail” is the seventeenth studio album by German heavy metal band Scorpions. It was released on March 19, 2010 in Europe (March 14 in Greece ) and was released on March 23 in North America. It will likely be their last studio album before retirement.

The album has a duet featuring the Finnish symphonic metal singer Tarja Turunen, in the song “The Good Die Young”.

A tentative title for the album was Humanity: Hour II, however this was eventually scrapped. (Wikipedia)

The Scorpions have announced a handful of the dates that will be included on their upcoming farewell tour. The summer run will include three U.S. stops this June. The band will appear in Holmdel, New Jersey; Columbia, Maryland; and Wantagh, New York. The German rockers also confirmed one fall gig at Palacio de los Deportes in Mexico City on September 7.

The tour will support the band’s seventeenth studio album, Sting in the Tail, which is set for release on March 23. Fans who pre-order the album through iTunes will have a chance to purchase tickets before the regular on sale date, April 7.

You’ll be able to hear the Sting in the Tail stream for free right here at iknowjack.com starting tomorrow and don’t worry we’ll also keep you posted when The Scorpions annouce their Chicago date in the near future.

“We want to celebrate [with] a big party around the world,” Rudolf Schenker told Live Daily in a recent interview. “We’ve had a really great career, coming out from Germany and showing people that rock can come out of Germany. I think we started as a gang built by friendship and musicality, and going and showing that the Germans can rock.”
