Apparently McDonalds is going to start training employees in Japan using Nintendo DS. If only every job required a gaming console of some sort to train employees, we would definitely be taking our work home with us. The reasoning behind this is the fact that employees already have experience using the DS. It an awesome incentive for 16-year-olds across the country to start working immediately! Maybe we can adopt this training method at JACK FM A.S.A.P!
Think of what could be your worst experience at the dentist office; does it include a root canal being preformed with a paper clip? Didn’t think so!
The San Francisco Chronicle reported earlier this week about a Massachusetts dentist named Michael Clair who was billing Medicaid for stainless steel dentist tools, yet actually using paper clips in patient’s teeth. Not only is this crazy dentist being charged with assault, but battery, larceny, submitting false claims to Medicaid, and illegally prescribing drugs too.
Add this to the list of why people are afraid of taking a trip to the dentist.
Former Journey frontman Steve Perry is “shocked” at Sarah Silverman’s accusation that he made racist remarks when the two met after one of her shows.
In a recent interview with Playboy, Silverman says that Perry used the “n-word” when praising her for making jokes about African Americans.
According to Perry, however, he never used the taboo “n-word” and merely expressed his appreciation for her deft navigation of racial issues.
“I’m really shocked. She was so friendly and so nice,” Perry said in a recent interview with Rolling Stone. “I don’t understand why she would go there, it’s so bizarre. I don’t use that word, are you kidding? That’s so derogatory.”
He continued on to explain that the comic took his words out of context, and that her statements don’t paint an accurate picture of the incident.
The Rolling Stones are teaming up with Eagle Rock Entertainment to release two new documentary films that will give a behind-the-scenes look at the band in the studio and on the road.
The first film, titled Stones In Exile, is set for release in June and follows the band as it recorded 1972’s legendary Exile on Main St. album. The second title is a digitally remastered re-release of the band’s 1974 concert film, Ladies and Gentlemen . . . The Rolling Stones. The concert film will be in theaters next fall with a DVD/Blu-ray release soon to follow.
“We are delighted to add a band of such unparalleled caliber as the Rolling Stones to our catalogue and are delighted to be bring to consumers a pair of such important and high quality titles,” said Geoff Kempin of Eagle Rock.
The Stones have been in the spotlight this week, after American Idol featured the band’s music on this week’s episode, with contestants covering such classics as “Paint It Black” and “Under My Thumb.”
In a recent interview with GQ Magazine Jack White confirmed that he had recently collaborated with Jay-Z in the studio and that they recorded at least one track. There was no mention of an official release, or if this a sign of an upcoming crossover album but both artists are known for releasing seemingly mismatched collaborations.
104.3 JACK FM has a not-so-secret obsession with time travel. We discovered this love back in the 80’s with Back to The Future, and it continues now with Hot Tub Time Machine, the latest flick from MGM pictures releasing Friday, March 26th.
The movie sets on the premise of 3 friends (John Cusack, Rob Corddry, Craig Robinson) and a young kid (Clark Duke) related to somebody in the movie or maybe a few people; we don’t want to give it all away… who are ready to get away for the weekend when they stumble upon their old vacation site, not quite the way they remembered it.
They hop in a Hot Tub, apparently also a time machine, bringing them back to the days of Duran Duran, INXS, Poison, Motley Crue and everything else 1986 like Jheri Curls, Leg Warmers and ridiculous outfits.
We don’t want to give away everything else, but there are some laughs, tears, scandals, bathroom scenes, bear costumes, and “Great White Buffalo” references that we’re still figuring out.
JACK sat down with the cast of the film, and here’s our first set with Rob Corddry and Craig Robinson. We loved them in the Heartbreak Kid and The Office respectively. You’ll love them here. Just try not to get too dizzy. Our camera woman had a few bloody maries before the shoot.
Need privacy for racy or embarrassing texts? TigerText is what you need! No need to end up like that famous golfer, with TigerText your text messages will self destruct for you. This app for iPhones lets your messages self destruct as soon as 60 seconds after the message is received.
The name of the company apparently has nothing to do with the recent Tiger Woods scandal but that the publicity sure does help. For $1.49 a month Tiger could have saved himself a lot of trouble.
The TigerText website says, “TigerText is different because, even though it looks and feels identical to a normal text message, the content of your message is never sent to the recipient’s phone and you control when the message is deleted from our server so you control the lifespan of the message!”
TigerText is only offered to the iPhone and iPod Touch but will be available to Blackberry and Android phones soon.

Raizo (Rain) is raised as a child by a clan of ninjas to become one of the deadliest Special Ops ninja assassins in the world. But after his girlfriend (also a ninja) is killed for being a traitor, he begins to harbor resentment towards the clan until he can become strong enough to defeat them.
This crazy ninja-action film is filled to the brim with martial arts and katana sword fights. The film has received mediocre reviews, mainly dealing with the lack of an overall “plot”. (more…)
We found this gem online of Red Hot Chili Peppers doing a rocking cover of Jimi Hendrix’s “Foxy Lady”. The music is rocking but what blew our minds completely was at about :25 in you realize Flea is thrashing upside down.
