All In Good Time is the most recent studio album by Barenaked Ladies. It was released on March 23, 2010 in Canada, and March 30, 2010 in the United States. It is the first album recorded following the departure of founding member Steven Page in February 2009, and the band’s second album recorded as a four-piece (their 1996 album Born on a Pirate Ship was recorded between the departure of original keyboardist Andy Creeggan and his replacement by Kevin Hearn). “You Run Away” was the first single released from the album.

The band came to the table with 27 written songs, with 18 making the cut to be recorded. With Page’s departure, Hearn and bassist Jim Creeggan have filled the void by contributing a comparatively greater share of lead vocals than on previous albums. Ed Robertson, who had contributed lead vocals approximately equally with Page, sings lead on 10 of the 18 recorded songs, while Hearn and Creeggan sing on five and three respectively.

Due to doctor’s orders, REO SPEEDWAGON is regretfully forced to reschedule their shows tonight at the Genesee Theatre in Waukegan and tomorrow night at the Rialto Square Theatre in Joliet, as a result of a severe flu that REO guitarist Dave Amato is experiencing. The rescheduled dates are officially confirmed for Friday, May 21st at 8pm at the Rialto Square Theatre in Joliet, and Saturday, May 22nd at 8pm at the Genesee Theatre in Waukegan.  Tickets purchased for the shows this weekend will be honored for the rescheduled dates. If you cannot attend the rescheduled dates, tickets may also be refunded at the point of purchase.  A limited edition triple vinyl set of remixed U2 classics and newer tracks has been released with the help of some of the top DJs and producers in the world.

Some of the artists that have lent a helping hand include French DJ Justice and Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor. Some of the songs featured include “City of Blinding Lights,” and 2009’s “Get On Your Boots.” This limited offer is set to expire on May 14.

South by Southwest is one of the largest gatherings of live music in the entire world. Taking place in Austin, TX, SXSW closes of the busy streets of downtown ATX and opens the doors to all its clubs to bands from across the world.

This year, Stone Temple Pilots rocked through a set of old and new songs at the famed Austin Music Hall, the first time for the band in nine years. The encore was topped off by The Doors guitarist Robbie Krieger for a rendition of “Roadhouse Blues”.

Stone Temple Pilots will be playing a SOLD OUT show at the Riviera Theatre in Chicago, IL on Saturday, March 27th.

“Sting in the Tail” is the seventeenth studio album by German heavy metal band Scorpions. It was released on March 19, 2010 in Europe (March 14 in Greece ) and was released on March 23 in North America. It will likely be their last studio album before retirement.

The album has a duet featuring the Finnish symphonic metal singer Tarja Turunen, in the song “The Good Die Young”.

A tentative title for the album was Humanity: Hour II, however this was eventually scrapped. (Wikipedia)

The Rolling Stones are teaming up with Eagle Rock Entertainment to release two new documentary films that will give a behind-the-scenes look at the band in the studio and on the road.

The first film, titled Stones In Exile, is set for release in June and follows the band as it recorded 1972’s legendary Exile on Main St. album. The second title is a digitally remastered re-release of the band’s 1974 concert film, Ladies and Gentlemen . . . The Rolling Stones. The concert film will be in theaters next fall with a DVD/Blu-ray release soon to follow.

“We are delighted to add a band of such unparalleled caliber as the Rolling Stones to our catalogue and are delighted to be bring to consumers a pair of such important and high quality titles,” said Geoff Kempin of Eagle Rock.

The Stones have been in the spotlight this week, after American Idol featured the band’s music on this week’s episode, with contestants covering such classics as “Paint It Black” and “Under My Thumb.”

In addition to their musical performance, the “Jeremy” hitmakers stuck around to appear in a parody sketch of The Twilight Zone episode “Nightmare at 20,000 Feet.” Casablancas also lent his comedic skills to the show, joining Andy Samberg for a sketch in which the two blasted boom boxes in unlikely places.

Pearl Jam recently announced a new string of headlining tour dates in continued support of Backspacer. The run will kick off May 1 at Jazz Fest in New Orleans and finish up with back-to-back nights at New York’s Madison Square Garden on May 20 and 21. Get Tour Dates here.

The Allman Brothers Band played in New York last Thursday at the United Palace Theater. The seven-piece band’s set lasted more than three hours.

Frontman Gregg Allman lead the group through such classics as “Jessica” and “Melissa,” along with covers of Van Morrison’s “And It Stoned Me” and the 1974 Michael Price and Dan Walsh hit, “Ain’t No Love in the Heart of the City.” The Allman Brothers, who are used to playing in NYC this time of year as part of an annual two-week stint at the Beacon Theater, found themselves in an unusual venue this year. Due to scheduling issues, the two-week residency was moved from the Beacon Theater to United Palace Theater.

The band played two long sets and a three-song encore, closing the night with the classic tune “One Way Out.”

Police trucks and tanks were deployed as hundreds of fans rioted outside Metallica’s performance at Simón Bolívar Park in Bogotá, Columbia, last week.

According to a report from Sky News, the crowd attempted to illegally enter the venue without tickets, resulting in nearly 160 arrests. Four police officers and four fans were reportedly injured in the melee.

“Those people that did not get in wanted to get in by force,” a local police official told Sky News. “The presence of police and riot teams was necessary because these misfits – there’s no other name for them – damaged some windows in the surrounding area.”

This is the second riot in three months by South American Metallica fans; 120 were arrested at the band’s January performance in Santiago, Chile.
