This rhesus macaque monkey has been on the run for nearly a year, and no human seems to be able to catch him. You might see him relaxing by the pool or even scaling the walls of your house, so keep your eyes open and bananas handy!

According to (CBS/AP), the “Mystery Monkey of Tampa Bay” is on the run again, brushing off tranquilizer shots, stealing fruit from yards and swimming in random pools. But now this rebel has over 24,000 fans of Facebook supporting his mission.

A SWEDISH Weight Watchers group got a sign they might want to lay off the meatballs.

When a group of 20 members gathered in Vaxjo, south central Sweden for their regular weigh-in, the floor collapsed, the Smalandsposten newspaper reported.

“We suddenly heard a huge thud; we almost thought it was an earthquake and everything flew up in the air,” a member told the paper, according to a translation on Swedish news website The Local.

“The floor collapsed in one corner of the room and along the walls.”

The smell of sewage quickly collected in the collapsed room.

Luckily there was never any danger because the floor was only slightly above ground level, the newspaper said.

No injuries were reported.

HOUSTON – An obese inmate in Texas has been charged after officials learned he had a gun hidden in his rolls of fat.

George Vera, 25, was charged with possession of a firearm in a correctional facility after he told a guard at the Harris County Jail about the unloaded 9mm pistol.

The Houston Chronicle reported Thursday that Vera was originally arrested on charges of selling illegal copies of compact discs.

The 36-year-old admitted he had placed his life at risk by performing the daredevil stunt.

‘This was a very dangerous stunt because there were so many factors to consider,’ he said.

‘The roller caster is wooden and so unlike rides made from iron and steel there was always a chance of the odd nail or screw that would not be entirely flat.

‘If the skates were to catch a stray nail then I could have fallen and I would almost certainly have died.’ Spending two months planning the outrageous stunt, Mr Auer also designed and made the monster skates, which took him a total of 110 hours’ work.

But he said there was no room for error and he used 16 rolls on each shoe.

‘When I reached the first drop I was 30 metres high and this allowed me to reach speeds of 90kmh on descent.,’ he said of Saturday’s stunt. Full Story plus more pics

A spokesman for the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office says the 29-year-old temporary worker at Cocoa Services Inc. plant fell after a blade used to mix raw chocolate hit him. The man’s name has not been released.

The victim was said to have been trapped in the vat for nearly 10 minutes before being freed, reports CBS station KYW. Officials said a preliminary investigation has revealed that the worker may have suffered a head injury while inside the vat. Source
